Hello and Welcome to my first blog I hope you find it interesting and informative. Here at Gemma’s Holistic Therapies it’s been really busy but I hope you’ll agree worth it. All the hard work fills me with great pride and excitement to be re-launching with a new logo that is more reflective of a professional holistic approach and the new look website which is much easier to navigate gives the right impression that best reflects what I am trying to do here which is to make the Client feel their best.
It’s all about relaxing, re-balancing and improving your health and vitality I have a passion and a love for Complementary Medicine and want to reach out to as many people as possible and be able to share the benefits of deep relaxation for all, it is only when we truly surrender and deeply relax that the body has a chance to heal itself. Reflexology & Reiki are great for stimulating the body’s natural healing process and detoxing to leave you re-energised.
Spring is my favourite time of year and synonymous with new beginnings which is very apt for my re-launch. We start to get some sunshine and dew on the grass in the hazy morning which means it will be warming up to a beautiful sunny day. Its days like these in-between the rain because we all know it still will rain, that make me feel very grateful and happy to be able to do a job I love.
If you have been suffering with hayfever it seems to come earlier each year then I can recommend a few simple Reflexology moves to help alongside your medication that can be done every night before bed to help clear your sinuses and help you breathe.
Instructions
Sinuses Reflex: Massage the toes in-between your thumb and index finger with your thumb on the underside of your toes
Chest Reflex: Massage the ball of your foot
Solar Plexus: Massage the centre point where there is a natural dip just under the ball of your foot
Pituitary Gland Reflex: Massage the central swirl of the big toe print
